Metting called to order by Vice Gary Hayward at 7 PM, Parrish Medical Center, Room 6.
Pledge of Alleginance to our Flag was by all.
Report from Don Spade on his serious medical conditions.
Reading of July Minutes by Jim Hough. (minutes were disributed to all members and interested
parties by e-mail in July). Motion to accept by Don Spade and a second by Daniel McDonald and
and approved by members present.
Treasurer's report by Gary, Read and approved. (Treasurer Steve is recovering from open heart
Gary donated funds to renew our 501 (c) 3. Application has been forwarded for some time.
Extensive report from Ricky Deluco. Repeater feed line was replaced after the old feed line was
disintegrated and connectors were rusty and water in them. SWR 1.1 to 1 with new feed. Antenna
was re-orientated to a more Southernly direction and gives excellent coverage to the South now.
At the present, consensus was to keep the Alinco's and present repeater setup and investigate other
options such as ICOM D-Star, Yaesu Fusion or other commercial repeaters. Permission to proceed
with a 440 repeater was given by all members. Don Spade will attempt to get support from Spectrum
on providing a internet connection free.
Other locations for Ricky;s vast repeater resources was discussed such as the Titusville Tower and
Great Outdoors Tower.
Much, much more discussion on disaster prepartion, equipment installations, cooperation with BEARS
and providing North Brevard with better emergency commuications with locations such as Daytona
MEMBERS and GUEST Present"
